Luxury Commerce Demo with AI Shopping Assistant
A bilingual luxury storefront over a real, source-cited public skincare catalogue, with guest and member shopping, an AI assistant that proposes but never orders, photo matching and a simulated checkout.

The problem
A shopping assistant that can change a cart or place an order on its own is a liability, and checkout has to stay correct when people double-click, refresh or buy the last item at the same time.
What I built
- Guest and member shopping with ASP.NET Core Identity, saved carts and per-owner locking.
- A checkout bound to the exact summary the shopper saw: resubmitting cannot create a second order, and stock is reduced atomically — concurrency proven by tests on a real SQL Server.
- A text and press-to-speak assistant with twelve fixed tools: a safety check runs before any model call, the server writes the answer, and cart changes are proposals the shopper confirms.
- Photo matching that strips image metadata, reads only the packaging text with a vision model and matches products by rules.
- A protected admin with approval workflows and an append-only audit trail; no product claim is shown until its exact text has been approved.
Honest scope
Built and tested with 1,460 automated tests, including 141 on a real SQL Server. Not deployed: every AI capability ships off, no live model call has been validated yet, prices and stock are invented, and nothing is paid for or shipped. It is not an official store of the brand.
